HISTOIRE DE MOTIFS
Explore the monument’s iconography through a scavenger hunt to find symbolic motifs, before creating your own stained-glass window out of tissue paper.
The motifs are not merely decorative. They convey meaning, symbols, and stories. To understand them, participants are invited to observe them directly within the monument, then reinterpret them in a workshop where they create stained-glass art using tissue paper. The activity thus alternates between observation, reflection, and creative expression, transforming the discovery into a personal experience.
A tour to understand the role of the motifs: Using small reproductions of the motifs, visitors search for various motifs within the monument. This exploration allows them to discover the architecture of the site, then analyze the motifs they find to understand their forms, techniques, and, above all, their symbolic significance.
A workshop to create your own tissue-paper stained-glass window: Participants create their own composition—combining cutting and collage—before layering translucent colored tissue paper over it.
