Joel Sitbon and Pascal Caumont breathe new life into all of this, drawing inspiration from the sonic energy of music passed down orally, to bring the troubadours’ songs to life.
On the program for Thursday and Friday:
The Albada trio continually traces the course of the waters—sometimes peaceful, sometimes turbulent—of the Pyrenees and the Haut-Languedoc. They return to the source of the vast Occitan oral heritage with their signature style: music that showcases harmonic and polyphonic vocals.
