SITE D'ESCALADE DE CIERP-GAUD
One of the most important and historic sites in Comminges, and the largest gneiss site in the area. There are routes of all levels and types, although in general it's a fairly technical, finger-holding climb.
- Classification: Sports site.
- 105 lanes -
- Orientation: South ? Southeast.
- Max height 25m.
A large number of routes are divided into three identified zones. The first is two-storey, the second is higher with longer routes, and the last is hidden in the adventure park. The site also boasts a large number of boulders, which have been used for many bouldering competitions. There's something for everyone, including lovers of more relaxed climbing. The footings of the routes are pleasant. The site has been well equipped.
However, beware of some very difficult routes that have not yet been re-equipped. The site is still under development, and new routes are being equipped regularly.
