Nature lovers beware! The Lac Lamartine Nature Reserve offers you an observatory to discover the countless species of animals that inhabit the site.
The Lac Lamartine Nature Reserve (RN) comprises five lakes that are part of a complex of water bodies resulting from the exploitation of the former bed of the Garonne. It is classified as a Natural Zone of Ecological, Faunistic and Floristic Interest, type I and II
The RN is divided into two parts: one of them, closed to the public, meets a nature protection objective. It ensures the maintenance of quiet areas, used by bird species, including herons, during nesting, wintering or migratory stopovers (5 species of herons nest there : The purple heron, the grey heron, the night heron, the ox heron and the little egret).
