In April 2015, Cazères-sur-Garonne's municipal media library opened its doors in a building whose various previous uses gave no indication of its new destiny. Formerly a slaughterhouse, municipal theater and industrial bread oven, the building is now home to the town's flagship cultural facility, whose redevelopment has resulted in a bold architectural achievement. The municipality's project takes into account the needs of a rapidly expanding population, eager to find a pleasant and comfortable living environment in Cazères.
This facility, dedicated to leisure, culture, information, training and documentation for all citizens, participates in the cultural and social life of the commune, notably in partnership with other local players: leisure center, Cap Jeunes, RAM, nursery and elementary school, Des livres et délices bookshop, Lire et faire lire association?
The Cazères multimedia library is :
- Over 13,000 books: documentaries, novels, detective stories, science fiction, readings, theater and poetry, comics and mangas, CD books, a collection on the history of Cazères and the Comminges region;
- Around 1,000 audio CDs, covering all musical genres from jazz and rap to French chanson, rock and classical music;
- Over 600 DVDs: music, films, documentaries;
- Around 16 press and magazine subscriptions, for adults and young people.
The library also boasts a multimedia area with 3 computer stations in the reception area and 2 computers in the youth section.

To register :
Access to the Médiathèque, the multimedia area and on-site consultation of documents is completely free!
Registration is renewable every year, and entitles you to borrow 10 documents, including 1 DVD, per person for a maximum period of 1 month.
Documents required:
- ID or family record book.
- Proof of address less than 3 months old (water, electricity, telephone).
