LE BERCAIL

Le Bercail: an invitation to slow down and take it all in. Come discover this peaceful haven where golden stone, breathtaking views, and nature come together to create unforgettable memories with family or friends!

Imagine for a moment: waking up not to the sound of an alarm, but to birdsong… as golden light streams through the huge floor-to-ceiling windows… Welcome to Le Bercail, a cottage for 8 people nestled in a peaceful hamlet in Benque d’Aurignac! Surrounded by rolling fields and meadows where horses roam, this cottage built of pale stone invites you to slow down and savor the simple beauty of the great outdoors.

From the enclosed garden, your gaze takes in the hillsides of Comminges, and on clear days, a few Pyrenean peaks dot the horizon. A setting that changes with the seasons, which you can enjoy just as much from the terrace as from the huge, light-filled living room. Whether in summer or winter, whether you’re relaxing in the living room or gathered around the large family table, you remain connected to the surrounding nature. On sunny days, the terrace becomes the perfect spot for sunny breakfasts, convivial meals, and long evenings spent admiring the sunsets over the countryside.

The cottage is all on one level and is a candidate for the “Tourisme & Handicap” certification (excluding people with reduced mobility, as some rooms are accessible via a few steps). From the living room, you can access a children’s bedroom (2 single beds, 90x190 cm) and, via two steps, to another bedroom (1 double bed, 200x200 cm, plus a walk-in closet and a private bathroom) and to a separate toilet. From the kitchen, you can also access—via two steps—two other bedrooms (each with two 90x200 cm single beds that can be joined together), a bathroom with a shower and bathtub, and a second toilet. All rooms are air-conditioned except for the children’s bedroom. Wi-Fi available.

Pets not allowed. Electric vehicle charging available (billed at cost based on usage).

Must-see attractions:

- The medieval village of Aurignac, dominated by the ruins of its castle

- The Aurignacian Museum-Forum, where you can travel back in time to prehistory

- The Cardeilhac Arboretum

Top 3 activities:

- Spend a day at Lake Boulogne-sur-Gesse swimming and picnicking

- Visit the market on Saturday mornings in Aurignac to buy from small local producers

- Hike or bike along one of the many trails in the area

A destination where people come as much to discover the Comminges region as to rediscover the joy of fully immersing themselves in the landscape.
