ZNIEFF FORET D'EAUNES
Just a stone's throw from the city, a breath of fresh air and a change of scenery!
A veritable green lung, the Eaunes wood ZNIEFF links the via Garona and the Muretains hillsides to the Clarté Dieu d'Eaunes abbey.
The pedunculate oak is in the majority, giving this area a remarkable ecological interest. The meadows and fallow land that dot the area accentuate the site's ecological richness.
Numerous animal species can be observed here, including : Evening Grosbeak and Booted Eagle, and plant species such as Irish Euphorbia, Field Mustard and Stinking Chamomile.
It's important to stay on public footpaths.
