ECLUSE D'EMBORREL

Simple lock located on the Canal du Midi. Its name comes from "borrel" which was a folk dance, a bourrée named borréla. The following section proposes the crossing of the aqueduct of Radel then the passage on the Maraval Bridge. Situated 1.5km from the village of Avignonet Lauragais which at the time of Riquet was called "Vignonet", village of the vines.

The lock is part of the Avignonet hike to the Canal du Midi.
